Designed and painted to mark the 3-year anniversary of the STEM Bee science communication project in Manchester which saw 70 local scientists collaborate with the artist to create a sculpture dedicated to the city's scientific heritage. The painting depicts a semi-realistic rendition of the sculpture travelling through space in order to find the viewer's gaze.

About the artist:
Kelly Stanford is a local Science Communicator who uses art as a fun and engaging science outreach tool. In 2018 she collaborated with 70 scientists from around the city to create the STEM Bee - a Scicomm sculpture embellished with science facts and signatures representing Manchester’s scientific heritage both past and present.
